Delegate Women, Revive Socities

It is no surprise that the countries which happen to have a great deal of issues and conflicts are countries that disregard women's vital role in development and peace building, third world countries remain such because they discourage women's engagement in democracy and peace building. One can easily point out that societies where women are empowered are unceasingly flourishing and prospering, where corruption rates are low and politcal honesty lives on. As a population group that have been facing discrimination for ages, women, are passionate about and committed in empowering other women, children and other discriminated against minorities and groups, thus, they are highly trusted in development and capacity building. And because they make an acknowledged part of populations that suffer from conflicts and wars, they are also committed to peace building and once they are allowed as equal partners, communtities can heal from post-war consequences faster and reconstruction takes place more quickly.

Mehaira

In Sudan, failing to empower women to reach their full potential is a violation of their basic human rights which is a fundamental reason for promoting the empowerment of women. they find themselves lost in the shadows of non-existence, that is why women are the greatest peace contributors, because they know exactly how does it feel to live in conflict. figural or literally, taken the unstable environment under consideration.
therefore, women use every possible power they have in order to make peace, both within and outside the house by improving :
_ Education.
_ Autonomy.
_ Economy and financial status.
_ Household environment and others.
in order to reach a high level of understanding, to word " peace" itself to the society.
only one educated, powerful, aware, and confident women is quietly enough to drag 1000 others to the concept of peace building
Women empowerment considered as an indispensable tool for
advancing development and making peace throughout the world.

women role in achieving peace

First of all the definition of peace is not just the opposite of war it contains many concepts such as feeling safe, justness, equality, liberality and all human rights.
Women contribute to achieve peace in sudan specially when the are empowered because women are the most affected by war here in sudan and all over the world they are underdogs so when they are empowered they will play big role in contributing to achieve peace.
To empower women we should give them the basic human rights and let them participate in making decisions such as economic and political decisions case the woman is our mother, sister and daughter so they play an essential role in the society.
Increasing the awareness among the community is the most important thing to empower women in order to achieve peace.

Women Empowermen and Peace Solutions Effectiveness

In Sudan there is a rising rate in violence against women and females are often denied their basic rights, specially in conflict areas.
Despite the fact that women suffer the most during times of conflict and wars, they are never consulted on issues of peace and security and they are not represented at peace negotiations.
Not having women representatives in peace and security negotiations limits the effectiveness of peace and security solutions because women's unique needs and requirements are often forgotten and not embedded in these solutions.
Thus, by providing women with better education and spreading awareness about the importance of women's contribution to negotiations and decision making, we are empowering more women to be involved in peace building plans.
In a conclusion womem empowerment is a key factor in creating effective and long lasting peace solutions that meet the needs of both genders.

Women's Empowerment as a Peace Contributor

Statement

"Woman is half the society" we constantly hear this in every platform concerning women, but from where I stand she is not only half the society but the whole society, because she represents one half and raises and educates the other half. so having an ignorant, poor and dependent woman in the society results in having damaged and uneducated successors -which can have sever effects-.

In so many countries the battle for women's empowerment rages on. Specially on those countries where oppression against women is a daily occurrence. Yet less is done about that matter disregarding that women are the backbone of the the small society(household) and consequently the big society. In other words having a strong, reinforced foundation guarantees a solid, long-lasting and a secure building.
Based on a previous study that I've conducted, women's empowerment comes in different levels and with different approaches or factors including: her participation in decision-making, Education, Age, Financial Status, Health-Seeking, marital status and many more. Each attainment a woman gains puts her in a higher level of empowerment.

The average number of women participating in official roles at peace negotiations remains notably low. Which is no surprise looking at the social, financial and educational status of women in most of these countries. In countries of conflict, sexual and gender-based violence can be used as weapons of war. Women and girls face increased risk of harm, exploitation and abuse due to breakdowns in the rule of law. Now this is only a demonstration to the dilemma. Real answers and solutions represent -but are not limited - to these points:
- Promote women's participation in peace and political processes that affect them, just out of democracy.
- Engage them in conflict prevention and disaster risk reduction.
- Support women's participation in political and post-conflict transitions.

The bottom line is that women around the world are still absent from national and local decision-making bodies, struggle to have a voice in peace-building and and are excluded from political processes. While including them in all that can help improve the critical priorities required to achieve sustainable peace.

The most effective remedy for making peace is empowering women

The first question that you ask when you open the house door is " where is mom? " her presence makes you feel safe and protected her presence defines peace.
They call women the weaker sex but if she's confident, educated, creative, aware of her rightsa and capable of attaining them , how could they call them weake ! They are definitely the opposite of that.
Women empowerment is the first step to take Sudan in a high speed toward a developed and peaceful country becausea an empowered woman makes the bright future of any nation.
Since women are the most vulnerable victims in wars and conflicts and they are the closest to the problems they are the ones who can come up with the best solutions so their opinions and participation in forming post-conflicts development strategies should be taken into consideration.
" Women are the real architects of the society".

A change from inside community

Awareness of “how education is crucial”.
I remember how my grandmother has complete understanding of this concept. Even though it was illiterate; she raised her kids well educated. My father has built the first High school at the area, my uncles are well educated and now they’re all contribute effectively to their society.
What I meant to say is that “women are like earth” (an old Sudanese say), if you give her good education, awareness, respect, treat her with dignity; definitely she will give rise to a whole powerful educated generation who respect others opinions, understand others, live in peace and harmony. This is one example of thousands of Sudanese women.
We all came from a woman, we must look at every girl as a mother of future and never underestimate them.
I think we should bet on peace in Sudan through strengthen the role of women in community by giving her ultimate rights. I believe this is the change from inside that we are all waiting for.
